With the motto "Leading the World with Intelligence and Winning the Future with Quality," FAW Jiefang launches four new NG heavy-duty engine products!

On December 14th, the FAW Jiefang 2026 Global Partner Conference, themed "Leading the World with Intelligence, Winning the Future with Quality," grandly opened in Chengdu. That afternoon, the NG heavy-duty engine product refresh launch event was held.

Wang Zhiyu, member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager of FAW Jiefang; Wang Jianyu, member of the Party Committee, Vice General Manager, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the Commercial Vehicle Development Institute; and Peng Long, member of the Party Committee, Assistant General Manager, and Minister of the Product Management Department, attended the meeting. More than 300 people, including representatives from over 30 customer companies and over 150 dealer companies, participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dong Yazhou, member of the Party Committee, Assistant General Manager, General Manager of the Powertrain Business Unit, and Secretary of the Party Committee of FAW Jiefang.

In his speech, Wang Zhiyu stated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, FAW Jiefang achieved stable growth despite industry headwinds. This confidence stems from its deep accumulation of technological innovation, its efficient and collaborative product system, and the unwavering support of its loyal customers. The launch of a fully revamped NG engine series is not only a precise response to customer needs but also a key measure to promote the implementation of FAW Jiefang's "1333" strategy and strive towards its strategic goal of becoming "China's No. 1 and a world-class enterprise." Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan, FAW Jiefang will continue to drive growth through technological innovation, continuously launching more efficient, reliable, and safe green and intelligent transportation solutions, and working with partners to expand the foundation of its independent commercial vehicle industry.

At the conference, Liu Jiangwei, Vice President of FAW Jiefang Commercial Vehicle Development Institute and Dean of Powertrain Development Institute, released a new generation of NG heavy-duty engine product portfolio. The newly released NG engines cover 13-16 liters and include four heavy-duty models: 6SV3, 6SX1 PRO, 6SM7, and 6SM6. Equipped with two major technology platforms—"Intelligent + Energy Saving" and "Intelligent + Reliable"—they integrate ten core technologies, including intelligent combustion knock suppression, intelligent pulse turbocharging, and power domain coordination control. While maintaining strong power output, they further reduce fuel consumption by 1-2 kg per 100 kilometers. Based on an annual operating mileage of 200,000 kilometers, this can save users 10,000-20,000 yuan in operating costs annually. In terms of reliability, through the application of lean lubrication technology, high-pressure resistant cylinder blocks and moving parts, and high-temperature resistant exhaust systems, coupled with a 2 million-kilometer ultra-long lifespan verification, they possess three core advantages: stronger power, lower fuel consumption, and superior reliability, allowing users to operate with complete peace of mind in complex road conditions.

Among them, the newly unveiled 6SV3 product, as a new benchmark for 15L gas engines, boasts an ultra-long lifespan of 2 million kilometers, ultra-low gas consumption leading by 1-2 kg, and ultra-fast response leading by 40%. It covers all the main-selling models in the Changchun and Qingdao bases and has undergone in-depth real-vehicle verification in typical trunk logistics routes in Xinjiang, Yunnan, Qinghai-Tibet and Northeast China, which can meet the multi-scenario transportation needs of customers.
